The thickness of the fiber makes it easy to feed in, with fewer strands needed per braid. This is a natural product; shedding is expected. Braid it down to the ends or secure it with a knot for best results.Trim the flyaways as needed. Do not wash before installation as this will change the texture. The ends can be hot water set if needed but is not required. The temperature of the water does not need to be boiling hot; room temperature is fine. Steam also works really well. Banana fibers are hydrophilic, meaning water-loving. The fibers absorb moisture and will feel hydrated. Apply setting and finishing mousse for best results. Add vegetable glycerin or another serum to the braids for added moisture and shine.
